Product details

Item Type: Tibetan Antique Accessories. Style: Tibetan. Dimensions: 8.5mm. Materials and Techniques: Bhaisajyaguru Dzi Beads. Place of Origin: Tibetan. Period: Qing Dynasty. Condition: Good. A perfect round rosary made of aged purple sandalwood in the Tibetan style. This rosary exudes a spiritual aura, crafted from aged purple sandalwood. Despite its compact and slender dimensions, its quality is exceptional. Over the course of a century of continuous practice and transmission, the beads have acquired a beautiful dark hue, totaling a perfect count of 108 beads. Upon holding the rosary, a faint radiance emanates, showcasing the fine and dense texture of the wood, with exquisite grain patterns.. Old small-leaf purple sandalwood rosaries are extremely rare materials in Tibetan regions and are reserved for individuals of special status. Purple sandalwood, a rare and dense wood, ranks among the finest materials for crafting prayer beads. Its growth is exceptionally slow, adding only 3 centimeters in girth every 100 years, taking eight to nine hundred years, or even thousands of years, to mature. Its satin-like texture, dazzling color, and dignified elegance have long been appreciated by royalty and dignitaries. During the Ming Dynasty, it was heavily imported, leading to near exhaustion and a significant increase in price.. This rosary was respectfully commissioned last year by five Buddhist colleges, and all accessories are original.
