Place of Origin: Tibet Dorje Drak Monastery. Period: 19th Century. Date of Manufacture: 19th Century. Condition: Good. The Padmasambhava wears a fold-brimmed hat with feathers on the top; his face is well preserved, with a round face, a serious and majestic look, bright eyes, a three-dimensional strong eyebrow arch and nose bridge, a calm and steady expression, and the proportions of the facial features are very precise, which makes him look like a lotus. The image of Padmasambhava transcendent wisdom also reflects the master’s profound carving skills! The earrings are round and he wears a cross-collar chiseled flowered dress with a large robe on the outside, plus the curved silk ribbons around the ears, which is very exquisite! The right hand is placed on the right knee to hold the vajra, the left hand is holding a bowl in front of the body, and the legs are sitting in full lotus on the lotus throne. The whole body of the statue is gilded, with intricate carvings and exquisite craftsmanship. It can be said that the entire statue fully reflects the compassion and broad sentiments of Master Padmasambhava. It is extremely rare whether it is enshrined or collected.
