Cobi 1/35 Scale Pz.Kpfw. VI Tiger Ausf. E Model Kit The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf. E, commonly known as the Tiger I, was one of Germany's most feared heavy tanks during World War II. Introduced in 1942, it was designed to counter the Soviet T-34 and KV-1 tanks. The Tiger I was renowned for its thick armour and powerful 88mm KwK 36 L/56 gun, which could destroy enemy tanks at long distances. However, the tank was also notorious for its mechanical reliability issues and high production cost. The Tiger I first saw combat on the Eastern Front and quickly gained a reputation for its formidable strength. It also served in North Africa and Western Europe, where its impact on Allied forces was significant. Despite its strengths, the Tiger I was produced in limited numbers, with only 1,347 units built. Its complexity and the escalating war demands eventually led to its replacement by the more simplified Tiger II. The detailed model was designed in 1:35 scale using 870 elements and is 25 cm long.
