Super Kenzaki boat rods are iconic. Originally the first boat rod range to offer two equal sections, followed by dedicated fixed spool editions and the choice of four piece designs for packed down travel. Combined with the broad offering of lengths and line class choices, Super Kenzaki become our ‘best-selling’ boat rod range year after year. As UK boat fishing styles change, rod designs evolved, so too has the Kenzaki rod choice with some improved actions and adjustments in length. However, it is the application of unique Daiwa tech in the shape of X45 that brings the biggest leap. The bias carbon feature brings remarkable levels of torque control and enhanced feel to each model. Combined with the smooth curvature of V-Joint and enhanced handling from Powerlift foregrip on multiplier editions, every design will deliver a highly precise performance. The 'down tide' line up offers two length options of 7' and 8’, across three line classes. For multiplier use, the handle configuration allows for a closer placement of the reel and the shorter handle design aids a closer holding point for rod control and power. These also feature the shaped Powerlift Grip, providing enhance hold. However it is the longer choice at 8’ where the lightest edition of 8-15lb will appeal to anglers who are targeting species with a more sensitive set up. Serving the often preferred approach with fixed spool are two 8’ models for 12-20lb and 20-30lb. With line travelling off a fixed spool in a different manner, the guides differ to handle that wider corridor. Additionally the handle design is longer with a higher reel seat position. For travel and convenience, the four section choice is offered three in line class ranges; 12-20, 20-30 and 30-50lb. With a closed length of just 60cm they are perfect for a suitcase. Thanks to the V-Joint the four section models deliver a seamless curvature when loaded. The selective method of uptiding is covered by a versatile 9’6” design. With a casting range of 4-10oz, it is designed with a distinct ‘tip action’ to cast rigs away from the boat and show those characteristic ‘drop backs’ when taking fish shift the lead. The reel seat position and handle length is more suited to fixed spool use but will still accommodate a multiplier.
