Today, the estate extends over approximately 7 hectares of vineyards spread across some of the appellation's finest crus and produces, in addition to excellent Barolo wines, Dolcetto, and Barbera. The winery is managed by Marco Marengo, who has slightly modernized the style of the wines while maintaining the traditional approach that has always characterized their philosophy. Barolo Marengo is a blend of Nebbiolo grapes from various vineyards in the municipality of La Morra. Here, the soils are characterized by a high sand content, which makes the calcareous-clayey marl lighter, favoring the production of more delicate and elegant wines. After harvesting and fermenting in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, the wine ages in barriques for two years. The result is an elegant and expressive wine that reveals a deep garnet color in the glass. Its aromatic profile is intense and fragrant with notes of violet and rose petals, interspersed with berries and hints of undergrowth. On the palate, it is intense and smooth, with firm, well-integrated tannins and a pleasant, refreshing acidity. It is a wine that already reveals a refined and approachable character, but it can also age for several years, developing splendidly. It is excellent with stewed red meat or pasta with game sauces.
