Domaine Seguin-Manuel is a family-run estate located in Beaune, in the heart of Burgundy, renowned for the quality of its wines. Founded in 1824 and acquired by Thibaut Marion in 2004, the estate emphasizes traditional, artisanal winemaking. The vineyards, organically farmed (and certified since 2015), cover approximately 8.5 hectares. The Pinot Noir grapes are sourced from a plot located near the most famous crus of the Côte de Nuits, such as La Tâche and Romanée-Conti. Here, the vines benefit from excellent exposure and are rooted in mineral-rich clay-limestone soil, ideal for Pinot Noir, which guarantees the production of elegant, long-lived wines. After manual harvesting and fermentation, the wine ages in oak barrels (30% new) for 16 months. The Domaine Seguin-Manuel Vosne-Romanée Aux Communes is a wine with an intense ruby color and purple highlights. On the nose, it reveals a broad aromatic profile with notes of red fruits, alternating with spicy and undergrowth hints. On the palate, it is elegant and balanced. It has good structure and concentration. It is soft and smooth with fine, well-integrated tannins and a long, persistent finish that recalls delicate spicy notes. Try it with lamb or game birds, mushroom risotto, and medium-aged cheeses.
