Dating back to 1885, Domaine Henri Boillot is located in the southern Côte de Beaune, in the prestigious Burgundy wine region. The estate, now managed by Guillaume Boillot, the fourth generation of the family, owns approximately 19 hectares of vineyards, including a prestigious 4-hectare plot within the Premier Cru Les Perrières of Puligny-Montrachet. Production is roughly evenly divided between white and red wines. The Chardonnay grapes come from the Premier Cru Clos Richemont, known as Monopole because it is entirely owned by the Henri Boillot estate. Here, the vines benefit from a moderate continental climate and are rooted in limestone soils; these conditions give the wines a distinctive minerality and refined aromatic expressiveness. Vinification and aging in oak add complexity. In the glass, the wine reveals a brilliant golden color and a rich, broad aromatic profile with notes of ripe white fruit, honey, and toasted almonds. On the palate, it is round, soft, and elegant with a pronounced minerality and lively acidity. It is fresh and generous with a long, persistent finish. Try it with roasted lobster, truffle crepes, or chicken in mushroom sauce.
