The Maison Canard-Duchêne, founded in 1868 by Victor Canard and Léonie Duchêne, has been located since its creation in Ludes, in the renowned Montagne de Reims area. Since 2004, the company, which enjoys an international reputation and was a member of the court circle of Tsar Nicholas II, has been committed to sustainable development and environmental practices. This exceptional cuvée, created to celebrate the centenary of the Maison Canard-Duchene, is made only with Chardonnay grapes sourced from vineyards grown in the most prestigious crus of Nogent, Avize, and Vertus. After the first fermentation, the wine rests on the lees in the cellars of the Maison for a period of at least 4 years. The Champagne Grande Cuvée Charles VII Blanc de Blancs from Maison Canard-Duchene shows a beautiful straw yellow color with a fine and persistent perlage. The aromatic profile is elegant and captivating with notes of fresh exotic fruit and white flowers, followed by hints of brioche. On the palate, its delicate bubbles give it a silky and enveloping sensation. The wine has refreshing fruit flavors and lively acidity. It is the perfect wine with scallops, seafood-based appetizers, and white fish carpaccio.
