Product details

Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Andrew Will is a Washington winery located on Vashon Island, founded in 1989 by Chris Camarda and renowned for its excellent wines from some of the state's finest vineyards. Since 2013, Chris has been joined by his son, Will, at the helm of the winery. The Cabernet Franc grapes come from the Two Blondes Vineyard, the winery's coolest site, located in the Yakima Valley and named in honor of Chris Camarda's late wife and the current wife of Bill Fleckenstein, their vineyard partner. After vinification, the finished wine ages for 16 months in French oak (35% new). Considered one of the finest Cabernet Francs in the entire state, this wine reveals a complex and layered aromatic profile with floral notes of violet interspersed with hints of berry and black cherry, followed by touches of coffee, aromatic herbs, graphite, and tobacco. On the palate, it is balanced and elegant. It has a medium body and ripe tannins. It is round, fresh, and silky. It has a soft and smooth texture and a long, persistent, and slightly smoky finish. It is excellent with barbecued duck breast or beef fajitas.
