Drink it now or cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant. The prestigious Chateau Purcari has a long tradition that dates back to the 18th century when French settlers recognized the similarities in soil and climate between the area surrounding the Afon-Zograf monastery and the Bordeaux wine region. The estate was founded in Bessarabia in 1827 and quickly achieved great success and visibility, winning local and international competitions and becoming a supplier to the royal courts of Europe. After the Second World War, the estate began a slow revival and in 2003, the cellar was renovated and 250 hectares of vineyards were replanted. This elegant rosé is part of the limited edition range Purcari Nocturne, so called because the harvest takes place at night to preserve the aromatic character of the grapes, their freshness, and a balanced sugar level. Purcari Nocturne Rose is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Rara Neagra harvested manually and vinified using traditional methods. In the glass, the wine reveals a clear and bright color with pink tones and a broad and fragrant aromatic profile with notes of apricot and peach, fresh berries, and flowers. On the palate, it is dry, fruity, bold, and soft with a lively acidity and a long and refreshing finish. Serve it chilled as an aperitif with vegetarian tarts or fresh mixed salads.
