Drink it now or cellar for up to 12 years. No need to decant but best to open it half an hour before service. Located in the Valdejalón area of Aragon, Bodegas Frontonio is a Spanish winery founded in 2008 by Fernando Mora, Master of Wine, and oenologist Mario López. The company, which manages about 50 hectares of vineyards certified organic since 2017, in the surroundings of Épila, produces artisanal wines from old vines. Frontonio Telescópico is a blend of Garnacha Fina, Garnacha Peluda and Mazuela. The grapes are selected and harvested manually from vines between 35 and 60 years old, in vineyards located in the villages of Épila, Morata, and Jarque. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks. The finished wine then rests for 12-14 months in used barrels. In the glass, the wine has a bright and clear color with red tones. Its aromatic profile is broad and lively with notes of raspberry, cherry, and small red berries, followed by spicy hints and Mediterranean aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity, slender and juicy. It is an expressive and youthful wine with a pleasant well-balanced acidity, a velvety texture, and a mineral touch. It has a medium body and a long and elegant finish that recalls delicate spicy and fruity notes. It is excellent with lamb, grilled meat, and pork suckling pig
