Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant. Located in the Alsace wine region in eastern France, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht was created in 1959 by the marriage of Geneviève Zind and Léonard Humbrecht, merging the estates of their respective families. Over the years, several vineyards have been acquired, including some renowned Grand Crus, to the more than 40 hectares that the Domaine owns today, which are farmed using organic and biodynamic practices. The company is now run by Olivier Humbrecht with his son Pierre-Emile. The Riesling grapes are harvested from the Herrenweg sector of Turckheim, between the wine-growing communities of Wintzenheim and Turckheim, at the entrance to the Munster Valley, from vines over 35 years old planted on gravelly soils. In the glass, the Riesling Turckheim from Domaine Zind-Humbrecht reveals a clear and brilliant color with light yellow tones and an expressive aromatic profile with notes of ripe citrus, bergamot, and peach. On the palate, it is dry, elegant, lively, and velvety with a strong well-integrated acidic vein and a good concentration of fruit. The finish is long and refreshing and recalls citrus notes. It is the ideal wine as an aperitif with vegetable and fish-based appetizers, or with seafood.
