Drink it now or cellar for up to 30 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Domaine Zind-Humbrecht is one of the most prestigious wineries in Alsace, France. It was created in 1959 by the union of the two estates Humbrecht in Gueberschwihr and Zind in Wintzenheim, following the marriage of Geneviève Zind and Leonard Humbrecht. Over the years, the vineyards have expanded with the acquisition of some of the best Alsatian Crus such as Rangen or Brand. The Riesling grapes come from the renowned Grand Cru Brand hill, a site long known as one of the best terroirs in Alsace. Here the vines enjoy sunny conditions, with a southern exposure, on a steep slope at the exit of the valley. The soil composed of biotite granite is able to absorb solar energy during the day, releasing it at night and ensuring the production of mature, balanced and exuberant wines, with a mineral character and excellent aging potential. Riesling Grand Cru Brand is a vibrant wine that reveals a bright color with pale gold tones. Its aromatic profile is complex with notes of ripe citrus and medicinal plants supported by mineral touches in the background. On the palate, it is dry and crisp, dynamic and lively. It has a brisk acidity and a lean structure. The finish is long and recalls mineral and citrus notes. Keep it in the cellar for a few years or serve it now with oysters or a pork tenderloin.
