Drink it now or cellar for 20 years. No need to decant. Serve it chilled. Founded in 1965 by the union of two winemaking families, the Champagne house Le Brun Servenay has been a family business for four generations, today managed by Gauthier Le Brun. The vineyards extend over approximately 7 hectares in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, occupied mainly by Chardonnay and a small part by Pinot Noir and Meunier. The Chardonnay grapes come from old Grand Cru vineyards between 80 and 100 years old located in Avize, Cramant, and Oger. After vinification, the wine rests on the lees for 9 years. This is a vintage Champagne of great character and complexity that reveals all the elegance of the Avize terroir, the minerality of Oger, and the freshness of Cramant. In the glass, it shows a bright color with intense yellow tones and golden reflections. Its aromatic profile is broad and mature with notes of yellow fruit and honey, floral scents, and a clear mineral note. On the palate, it is fresh and citrusy, lively and refined. It has a well-balanced acidity and clear mineral hints that return in the long finish. It is a champagne that can age well for a couple of decades but is ready to uncork immediately. Try it with oysters and all seafood.
