Champagne Henriet Bazin Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru

Enjoy it now, or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant before serving. This Blanc de Blancs is crafted from 100% Chardonnay, harvested from three specific plots in Villers-Marmery – an island of white grapes within a sea of Pinot Noir in Montagne de Reims. With a significant portion of reserve wines in the mixture, this Champagne is rich and textured, showcasing scents of white flowers, honeysuckle, lemon, and brioche. Champagne Henriet-Bazin is a small-scale artisan winery, drawing from 8 hectares of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards. As the name indicates, Henriet-Bazin was born from a merger of two families in 1968, when Daniel Henriet joined forces with Micheline Bazin. Today, it is run by their children, Marie-Noëlle and Nicolas, who boast expertise in both geology and winemaking. This wine spent 9 months ageing on the lees, before spending 3 more years maturing in Henriet-Bazin’s cellars. It is generous and invigorating in the mouth, bearing warm flavours of orchard fruits, a healthy dose of citrus, and white flower ornamentations. It also has a mineral-rich chalky aspect, typical of the Villers-Marmery terroir. Ideal for special occasions, this Champagne will be an excellent partner for seafood gratin, soft cheese, or carpaccio.
