Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Domaine Antoine Lienhardt is a family winery in Burgundy with a tradition of 4 generations. Founded in the 19th century by Antoine's great-grandfather, Gustave Guyot, the company was taken over in 2011 by Antoine, who now runs it with his sister Heloise. The estate is located in the Côte de Nuits, between Dijon and Beaune, and has been certified organic since 2019. The Pinot Noir grapes are sourced from the two plots L'étaing and La Platerre located below the village of Comblanchien. Here the vines, of about 50 years of average age, sink their roots into clay-limestone soils. After vinification, the finished wine rests in concrete vats and old barrels, to favor the full development of its aromatic expressiveness. Antoine Lienhardt Bourgogne Rouge is a concentrated and elegant wine with a broad and captivating aromatic profile. On the nose, it reveals notes of red fruits, kirsch, and leather. On the palate, it is fresh and light, juicy and soft with a strong, well-balanced acidity and ripe tannins. The finish is long and recalls notes of red fruits. It is a wine that can be left in the cellar for a few years or enjoyed now with roast guinea fowl.
