Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Located between the municipalities of Impruneta, Scandicci and San Casciano, on the hills near Florence, Tenuta Collazzi, owned by the Marchi family since 1993, has approximately 25 hectares of vineyards, surrounded by olive groves and arable land where biodiversity reigns supreme. Here the vineyards enjoy exceptional soil and climate conditions with a warm and dry microclimate, and a perfect south-west exposure. The estate, which includes the historic villa dating back to 1560, has recently undergone a total renovation to focus its production on high-quality wines. Toscana Rosso is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot harvested and vinified separately. After fermentation in steel tanks, the finished wine ages for 18 months in wood and another 12 in the bottle. In the glass, the wine reveals a bright and intense ruby red color and a broad aromatic profile with notes of cherry and plum, followed by spicy and earthy hints and a balsamic touch on the finish. On the palate it is rich and generous, powerful and complex. It has a full body and velvety tannins. It is a characterful wine but elegant and balanced with a long and savory finish. It is the ideal wine with a juicy steak, with wild boar pappardelle or pulled pork.
