Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Domaine de Marcoux is a renowned winery located in Orange that has been owned by the Armenier family for several generations. The estate, which dates back to the 11th century, extends over approximately 18 hectares of vines, with an average age of 60 years, and is today managed by Sophie Armenier with her son. The production is equally divided between whites and reds, produced with grapes grown according to organic and biodynamic standards. Domaine de Marcoux La Lorentine Lirac is an elegant red blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah grapes. They are hand-picked from vineyards planted on limestone soils mixed with red clay, gravel, sand, and pebbles. After vinification, the finished wine rests in concrete vats and barrels. In the glass, the wine reveals a bright garnet-red color. Its aromatic profile is rich and lively with fruity notes of blueberry and cherry, floral hints of violet, and nuances of Mediterranean scrub and eucalyptus. On the palate, it is round, soft and ripe. It has a juicy and concentrated character with velvety tannins and a medium-full body. The finish is long and fruity. Its structure and complexity make it perfect with duck breast with fruit sauces, rabbit or quail with black olives, and guinea fowl with herbs.
