Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Domaine Alain Voge is a renowned winery in the Rhone Valley, born from an old family estate in the early 60s. After careful work of recovery and replanting the vineyards, Alain Voge developed his winemaking business together with his wife. Today, the company, which is managed by Lionel Fraisse and Laurent Martin, has about 13 hectares of vineyards cultivated according to organic and biodynamic regimes. The winery has been producing Saint-Joseph wine since the 2015 vintage, with the specification of the plot from which the grapes come (Les CĂ´tes). Here the Syrah vines have been replanted since 1999 with a bush training system. The harvest is manual and fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. After a period of maceration in steel tanks, the finished wine rests for 16 months in used oak barrels. This delicious Saint-Joseph reveals an elegant and broad aromatic profile with fruity notes of wild strawberry and forest berries, spices, dried flowers, and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is soft and round. It has a medium body and ripe and velvety tannins. The finish is long and fruity. It is the ideal wine with lamb chops or filet mignon.
