Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. No need to decant, but best to open it an hour and half before service. Domaine Bott-Geyl is a renowned family-run Alsace winery with a history dating back to the 18th century, located in the village of Beblenheim. The estate's vineyards, which extend over approximately 14 hectares, and include 6 Grands Crus, have been cultivated according to organic farming principles since 2000 and biodynamic farming since 2002. Riesling Cru d'Alsace Grafenreben is produced in limited quantities with selected grapes from a plot located in the municipality of Zellengerg, considered to be of similar quality to that of the Grands Crus. Here the vines enjoy a south-east exposure and sink their roots into clay-limestone soils. These particularly favorable conditions for Riesling, guarantee the production of wines of great depth with exceptional aromatic charge. After fermentation with indigenous yeasts, the wine rests on the lees for about 9 months. In the glass, the wine reveals a clear and brilliant color with greenish reflections and an intense and broad aromatic profile with citrus and stone fruit notes, jasmine flowers, and hints of nuts. On the palate, it is savory, crisp, and lean. It has a brisk acidity and good juiciness. The finish is long, refreshing, and citrusy. It is a wine with excellent aging potential, but it can already be enjoyed with a carpaccio of marinated fish and goat cheese.
