Enjoy it now, or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant before serving. Based on Pinot Noir harvested from Grand Cru vineyards in the village of Bouzy, this is a classic Paul Bara Champagne, treading the line between power and elegance. It is packed with rich, vinous scents of raspberry, strawberry, cherry, and citrus, with herbaceous undercurrents. In the 1950s, Paul Bara became the first of his dynasty to sell Champagne under the family name, and a few years later, the winery became one of the first Champagne houses to export its wine to the United States. Today, the Bara family, with a history in the region dating back to the 1600s, is represented by Chantale Bara, the face of the modern winery and the daughter of Paul Bara. This is a wine for special occasions. Its pink perlage provides a velvety mouthfeel, which intertwines wonderfully with the wine’s sharp acidity. On the palate you can discover a bundle of small red forest fruits, which combine with careful hints of yeast, lemon zest, brioche, and minerality. It has an intense and powerful character. Consider pairing this Grand Cru Rosé with carpaccio, a diverse cheese board, or alone, as an aperitif before dinner.
