Drink it now or cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant. Located in the ancient Racha-Lechkhumi wine region of northwestern Georgia, Naberauli Wines was founded in 2018. The winery is located in the village of Sadmeli, where the remains of the 17th and 18th century monks' cellars still stand. The company is strongly connected to the winemaking traditions of the country and its wines are produced with indigenous grape varieties such as the famous Saperavi, but also Aleksandrouli, Mujuretuli, Dzelshavi, Tsolikouri, Usakhelouri and Rachuli Mtsvane. The indigenous Tsolikouri grapes are hand-picked from the Lechkhumi region. They are then cold-macerated before fermentation at a controlled temperature. Tvishi is a semi-sweet white wine that reveals a beautiful clear and bright color with pale gold tones and some greenish nuances. Its aromatic profile is broad and ripe with notes of yellow and tropical fruit, hints of banana and stone fruit, and some citrus nuances. On the palate, it is round, soft, and fruity with a delicate sweetness that is perfectly balanced by a lively acidity. It has a medium body and a velvety texture. The finish is long and gently tropical. Served chilled, it is an excellent aperitif on its own, but it pairs very well with lightly spiced chicken dishes, with melon and Prosciutto, and some Thai recipes.
