Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Naberauli is a young Georgian winery located in the small village of Sadmeli, in the ancient wine region of Racha-Lechkhumi. Their wines are a strong expression of a philosophy based on respect for traditions. They are produced with indigenous grape varieties to enhance and make known to the world this region, located in the north-western part of the country, which still preserves the traces of its thousand-year-old winemaking tradition. After the Aleksandrouli grapes are selected and manually harvested, fermentation takes place in a stainless steel tank at a controlled temperature. The finished wine then rests in steel for 6 months before bottling. Naberauli Aleksandrouli is a dry red with a clear and deep color. On the nose, it reveals an intensely fruity aromatic profile with notes of raspberry, cherry, and forest berries, followed by gentle earthy and spicy hints. On the palate, it has a medium body and a lively, refreshing acidic vein. It is round and velvety, powerful and complex with a fruity and lingering finish. It’s the ideal wine for flavorful dishes like roast lamb or duck and also pairs deliciously with mature cow's milk cheeses.
