Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Located in north-western Georgia, in the Racha-Lechkhumi wine region, Naberauli Wines was founded in 2018, in the village of Sadmeli, where the remains of ancient cellars from the 17th and 18th centuries are still preserved. The company cultivates indigenous grape varieties to produce wines that are a strong expression of the fantastic terroir of this region. The wine is a blend of Rachuli Saperavi and Dzelshavi grapes selected and hand-picked from the Racha wine region. After cold fermentation at a controlled temperature, the wine rests for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. Saperavi Dzelshavi is a structured and complex red with an intense and deep color and a broad aromatic profile. On the nose, it reveals notes of cherry and ripe plum, and then coffee, leather, sweet spices, and smoky hints. On the palate, it is concentrated and full-bodied, powerful and balanced. It has a well-balanced acidity and a subtle mineral vein. The tannins are velvety and the finish is persistent and broad. It is a wine capable of aging well for at least a decade, but it is also ready to drink immediately with tasty and spicy red meat dishes such as goulash, or some Asian or Mexican recipes.
