Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant. Located in Piedmont, one of the most prestigious Italian wine regions, “La Lomellina” di Gavi has a tradition that counts about 200 years of history, during which the winery has had various owners until the arrival of the Raggio family at the end of 1800. The vineyards, which extend over about 16 hectares, were completely restructured in the early 2000s. The Cortese grapes are grown in the company vineyards located in the municipality of Gavi on sandy soils, rich in precious minerals. After fermentation, the wine rests for a period of 4-6 months in steel to preserve its fresh and delicately aromatic character, before spending another 4 months in the bottle and then being released on the market. Marchese Raggio Gavi is a fine and stylish wine, a perfect expression of the elegance of the great Piedmontese whites. It has a clear and brilliant color with straw yellow tones and some light greenish reflections. On the nose, it reveals a lively and broad aromatic profile with floral and fruity notes, and citrus and mineral hints. On the palate, it is fresh, lean and complex with a perfectly balanced acidity and a long and fruity finish. It is excellent with fish and shellfish, and an absolute must-try with sushi.
