Rowan (Hedging)

20

Rowan trees are commonly seen in gardens or blossoming in hedgerows, and for good reason. In the spring, bunches of white blooms will develop, which will transform into vivid orange or red berries by autumn, adding colour and intrigue to your hedgerow as the leaves fade and fall away. Once established, the Mountain Ash will survive being cut back on a regular basis, as this will help it to spread out and thicken its habit. This is ideal for a hedge! Height: 12m (39'). Spread: 8m (26'). Planting Distance: 45cm (18). (3 plants per metre for a single line hedge).
