Silene 'Siberia Mix'

19

This easy growing but delightfully pretty campion makes a nice change from standard summer bedding. Silene ‘Siberia Mix’ delivers a mass of pastel blooms in pinks, purples and white from spring to autumn. The blooms may be small but they pack a punch of colour. The petals of each flower are deeply notched, which on mass creates a very light, and frothy look but in big blocks of colour that form an eye-catching display pouring from hanging baskets, tumbling over containers or softening the edges of borders. Not only will it entice onlookers, but Silene is also super-attractive to insects, hence its common name of Catchfly, so it’s perfect for boosting populations of beneficial pollinators in your garden. Plants will continue to pump out blooms from June to September even in poor, dry soils. Height and Spread: 30cm (12in) to 40cm (16in).
