This oak-leaved hydrangea boasts attractive foliage, great autumn colour and eye-catching, long-lasting blooms in summer. Hydrangea quercifolia 'Ruby Slippers' produces especially large flowers, measuring up to 22cm, that change colour as they mature. They begin as large green-white panicles in early to midsummer, gradually turning pale pink and then darkening to ruby red. The oak-like leaves are large and deeply lobed, transforming to wonderful shades of purple and red in autumn.
