Our hand-woven loafer is from our specialist factory in Spain. Strips of hand finished tan calf leather are woven by hand to create a beautifully aligned weave across the upper, which is further enhanced by the subtle variation in the depth of colour of the individual strips and antique finishing. The pattern is wholecut, which maintains uniformity of direction across weave and we’ve added an ‘air cord’ apron (rather than an actual seam). A piece of cord is sewn underneath the upper before lasting – the heat then shrinks the leather over the cord forming and smooth raised seam. The upper is neatly piped around the apron with a leather folded topline and smooth leather back counter. We’ve chosen a white Blake stitched sole inspired by a boat shoe and made from a super lightweight compound.
