Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Located in the Erdevik village, on the slopes of Fruška Gora, in the Syrmia wine region, Erdevik winery is probably one of the oldest in Serbia. In this beautiful landscape, near the Danube and close to three lakes, the company grows international grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Syrah, to produce wines considered among the best in the country. Grand Trianon is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz grapes, carefully selected and hand-picked from the vineyards of Brestovik. After fermentation, the finished wine rests for one year in barriques and one year in the bottle. The label features the official coat of arms of the noble Italian family Odescalchi, who founded the winery in 1826. In the glass, the wine reveals a dense color with dark ruby-red tones. Its aromatic profile is intense and broad with notes of cherry and dark berries, dates, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is strong and soft, full-bodied and balanced. It has a good structure, a marked acidity, and fine and well-integrated tannins. The finish is long and warm and recalls fruity notes. It is ideal with grilled red meats and game.
