Geantet-Pansiot Bourgogne Pinot Fin 2022

Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. No need to decant it but best to open it an hour before service. Located in Burgundy, the Domaine Geantet Pansiot was founded in 1954 and is now managed by the son and grandson of the founders Edmond Geantet and Bernadette Pansiot. The company now covers 13 hectares of vines, distributed in some of the most prestigious dominations of the region: Clos Vougeot, Gevrey Chambertin, Marsannay, Charmes Chambertin, Chambolle Musigny, and Bourgogne. Their motto "Être sobre, c'est boire bon", written on the label, sums up the hedonistic spirit of these wines, with a concentrated and elegant character. The Pinot Fin of Domaine Geantet-Pansiot is a wine of great elegance. The Pinot Noir grapes come from young vines planted on a clayey-limestone terroir. The wine is aged for 14 months in barrels (of which 30% is new oak). The result is a perfumed wine that displays all the elegance and finesse typical of the wines of the Domaine. The aromatic profile of the wine reveals intense notes of raspberries, currants, wild berries, and dried flowers followed by spicy hints. On the palate, the wine is full and soft, fresh and fruity, with fine tannins. The finish is long and refreshing. It goes beautifully with tuna and salmon and also with quail.
