ABOUT THE WINEA 95-hectare estate (37-hectares of vineyard) covering some of the finest terroirs in Mercurey. The château, overlooking the village of Chamirey, was built in the early 18th Century, and saw a succession of owners before coming into the Devillard family through marriage. The estate began bottling its own wines in 1934, making it a forerunner in the region.. TASTING NOTESBright and lean, with brioche and vanilla from the oak influence. The palate is delightful, with wood-spice, citrus fruit, apricot and vanilla mingling on a long, fresh finish.. FOOD PAIRINGIdeal with chicken casserole..
