Pittosporum tobira 'Nanum'

Pittosporum tobira 'Nanum' is a compact and slow-growing variety of the species, making it ideal for smaller gardens. This low-growing evergreen shrub forms a rounded, dense shape with glossy, dark green, leathery leaves arranged in attractive whorls. Its mounding habit adds year-round interest to borders, pathways, and containers. In late spring to early summer, 'Nanum' produces clusters of small, fragrant flowers that start white and turn yellow, enhancing its appeal. While it is border-line hardy and benefits from some winter protection, it thrives in sheltered spots such as against a south or west-facing wall. Container-grown plants should be moved to a protected area during winter. Tolerant of coastal conditions and salt-laden winds, it is perfect for warm coastal gardens. Low-maintenance and versatile, 'Nanum' is an excellent choice for low hedging, ground cover, or adding evergreen structure to patios and small spaces. Maximum height and spread: 1m (39in). Please note that plant height and spread may vary with the seasons, so we list by pot size rather than a fixed size. Arrival images are for reference only.
