Sorbus ulleungensis 'Olympic Flame'

230

This columnar, deciduous tree makes a fine specimen for small gardens and confined spaces. The young, pinnate foliage of Sorbus ulleungensis 'Olympic Flame' emerges bronze, maturing to green in summer. Prominent clusters of tiny cream flowers are borne in Spring, and later succeeded by rounded orange-red berries that provide a fine autumn display. As autumn progresses, the foliage turns to a fiery mix of bronze, orange and scarlet that glows like a beacon on even the dullest days. Height: 6m (19?). Spread: 4m (13?).Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
