Acer palmatum Phoenix offers a stunning display of ever-changing colours throughout the year. In spring, its leaves unfurl in a striking shade of pink, highlighted by vibrant yellow-green veins. As the seasons progress, the yellow hue deepens towards the edges, giving way to a rich green with bronze-tipped foliage. In autumn, the tree undergoes its final transformation, with the leaves ablaze in fiery shades of orange, red, and yellow. With its upright form and finely divided, small to medium-sized leaves on bright red petioles, Phoenix is a slow-growing variety perfect for adding year-round interest to smaller gardens or containers. It reaches a height of up to 6m (20ft) and spreads to around 3m (10ft), although the plant's size will vary with the seasons. For this reason, we list the tree by pot size rather than fixed dimensions, as its height and spread will fluctuate throughout the year. The images provided are an approximation of the tree's appearance at the time of delivery.
