This resilient evergreen fern adds both structure and texture to shaded borders. Polystichum setiferum Plumosum Densum forms neat rosettes of triangular fronds that spread out in a graceful, shuttlecock-like arrangement. Each frond is composed of finely divided, densely overlapping leaflets, creating a delicate, feathery appearance. Compact enough for container planting or small borders, it also works well when planted in drifts within larger borders, weaving through perennials and shrubs. Awarded the RHS Garden Merit for its year-round interest, this fern offers a striking combination of colour, texture, and form. Height and spread: 30?40cm (12?16in).
