Drink it now or cellar for up to 25 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Located in Cantenac in the southern area of the Margaux denomination, in Bordeaux, Chateau Cantenac Brown has approximately 42 hectares of vineyards distributed between the various municipalities of Cantenac, Arsac, Soussans, Margaux, and Labarde. Here the terroir is the typical Medoc gravel, made of quartz which guarantees excellent drainage and reflects the sun's rays during the day while at night it releases the stored heat, favoring the complete maturation of the Cabernet Sauvignon. Chateau Cantenac Brown is a blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with additions of Merlot, which gives color and softness. After fermentation, the finished wine is aged in French oak barrels (of which 60% are new and the rest one-year-old). It is an elegant and fine wine that shows extraordinary aging capacity. Its aroma is intense and broad with fragrant fruity notes of black cherries, plums, cassis, and blueberry followed by aromas of cocoa and hints of herbs and slate. On the palate, it is smooth, rich, and concentrated with supple tannins and a juicy fruit intensity. The body is medium and the acidity is perfectly balanced. It is a dynamic wine with a long and elegant finish. Have it with a hearty Beef Bourguignon.
