Enjoy now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant before serving. This pale gold wine from the world-famous Côtes de Nuits bursts with scents of citrus, green apple skin, and white acacia flowers, complemented by hints of toasted almonds and gravelly minerality. It is made from 100% Chardonnay, harvested from 2.2 hectares in the village of Arcenant. It is a fresh and youthful expression of Burgundy, packed with young vines and accents of limestone. The Gros family have a long and tapestried history in the Burgundy region - this branch of their estate was created in 1988, when their vineyards were divided between the family. It was managed by Anne-Francoise Gros until 2019, when she passed the mantle to her children. The small-scale winery harvests grapes from 11 hectares of vineyards, and while it is best known for being a Vosne-Romanee winery, the newer generation of Gros winemakers have expanded the estate to regions like the Côtes de Nuits and Beaujolais. This Côtes de Nuits Blanc is a harmonious blend of sharp citrus zest and perfumed flowers in the mouth, with hints of butter and toasted oak. It is a crisp and lively experience, approachable out of the bottle, with a long, chalky finish. Consider pairing it with seafood, poultry, and creamy pungent cheeses.
