ABOUT THE WINE. Pierre Mayeul is the story of three old friends united by the same passion for Burgundy and with a shared goal to produce high-quality wines where each cuvee beautifully represents the individual terroir and 'climat' of each appellation. Each with a long history of Burgundian winemaking they vinify their wines in an old castle in Ladoix and age the wines in barrels in cellars that date back to the 17th Century situated in the very heart of Beaune.. TASTING NOTES. The nose presents an enchanting fusion of white peach, acacia blossom, and a touch of hazelnut. This Nuits Saint Georges Blanc, with its limited Chardonnay plantings, is a true rarity in the region, adding to the wine's distinctive charm. Subtle oak ageing imparts delicate notes of brioche and toasted spices. This captivating Chardonnay is full-bodied, with a silky texture and lively acidity. Flavours of ripe nectarine, lemon curd, and a hint of wet stone harmonize seamlessly, leading to a sophisticated, lingering finish.. FOOD PAIRING. Savour this exceptional Nuits Saint Georges Blanc alongside lobster thermidor or seared scallops with a creamy truffle risotto, allowing the sumptuous flavours to accentuate the wine's luxurious profile. Alternatively, consider a rich mushroom and leek tart or a roasted chicken with a creamy garlic and herb sauce. This elegant wine also pairs exquisitely with a selection of creamy, aged cheeses..
