Parfum d'Empire Cuir Ottoman Eau de Parfum 100 ml is a unisex leather perfume. A leather note so bold it is rarely seen in perfumery. A favorite of Marc-Antoine Corticchiato, who shaped his personal interpretation on the smoky tones of burnt storax and birch. From there, he drew inspiration from the Ottoman Empire, drawing on the millennia-old tradition of leatherwork in Anatolia-until the 19th century, Turkish leather was the finest in Europe. He introduced iris, already rich in leathery undertones, knowing that its powdery notes were often used to mitigate the smell of the finest leathers. In keeping with the theme, he bathed the iris and leather accord in tears of frankincense and benzoin, with their vanilla undertones that required the presence of vanilla, a pivotal element in oriental perfumes along with cistus. Tonka bean adds a mouthwatering touch: its tobacco essence intensifies the leather note, evoking the slow smoke of hookah. To further accentuate the essence of Cuir Ottoman Eau de Parfum 100 ml, it is embraced by narcotic Egyptian jasmine, as candid and opulent as the odalisques portrayed by Delacroix, Ingres and Matisse...
