Philadelphus 'Petite Perfume Pink'

19

The Philadelphus Petite Perfume Pink is the most vibrant pink variety of all Philadelphus! This charming shrub features an abundance of fragrant blooms for up to six weeks each summer, making it an ideal choice for low-maintenance urban gardens. Its compact, mound-forming habit means it?s perfect for containers, while its drought tolerance once established and ability to thrive in partial shade make it versatile in a variety of conditions. From May to July, this beauty is adorned with masses of delicate pink, four-petaled flowers, each with yellow stamens, set against dark green deciduous foliage. The sweet fragrance, reminiscent of orange blossom, fills the air and attracts pollinators, enhancing the garden?s ecosystem. Not just pretty, Petite Perfume Pink is a tough, low-maintenance shrub that excels in challenging locations, including coastal gardens, areas with air pollution, and dry, rocky banks. It adapts well to a wide range of soil types, from chalk to heavy clay, and can be used in borders, containers, or as part of a hedge. At maturity, it reaches a height and spread of around 1.2m (4ft), although these measurements can vary seasonally, so we provide plant sizes based on pot size rather than a fixed height. Keep in mind that the plant you receive may differ slightly from the one pictured, as its growth is influenced by the season.
