Papaver orientale 'Red Rumble' is a stunning perennial that commands attention with its breathtaking beauty. In May, its large, pendant buds open to reveal striking flowers with deep scarlet petals, resembling crumpled silk. The petals feature dark blotches, accented by a dark central boss, creating a dramatic contrast. Each bloom can reach up to 15cm across, standing tall on sturdy stems above clumps of finely textured, bristly foliage. With a fuller, bushier habit than other varieties, 'Red Rumble' makes a striking statement in the garden.
