Western Red Cedar Shingles & Shakes are renewable, sustainable roofing and cladding materials with low carbon footprints. They are lightweight, durable, and offer great thermal insulation. Suitable for a variety of structures, from garden gazebos to major theme parks, Shingles and Shakes differ in their manufacturing. Shingles are sawn on both sides, providing smooth faces, while Shakes are hand-split and resawn. They are fit for roofing and cladding, usable on pitches as low as 14 degrees. Shingles are 400mm long with random widths from 75mm to 350mm and a thickness of 10mm tapering. They feature a sawn rectangular profile and come in natural reddish-brown to pale yellow. They have a 70% PEFC certification, a life expectancy of 20-40 years for roofing, and 40-60 years for cladding. Untreated and requiring silicon bronze nails, 1kg of nails fixes 6 bundles. Hip and Ridge Capping needs longer nails, with 144 nails per bundle, and 1kg fixes 3 bundles.. Western Red Cedar Wood Roof Shingles Blue Label - 2.32m2 Pack Natural Roofing Superstore
