ACO's guide wall prevents small animals from accessing dangerous areas. It directs them to the ACO Climate tunnel entrance and the ACO Climate tunnel, preventing the small animals from reaching the carriageway. The system comprises standard one-metre straight lengths and additional elements to cater for changes in gradient or direction. Integral barriers on the front face of the system prevent small animals from climbing into dangerous areas. The front foot area itself suppresses vegetation, providing a clear movement area for animals. The system does not use metal reinforcement, preventing animals from being disoriented, but does consist of non-absorbent surfaces with minimal thermal conductivity. This ensures the surface is ideal for amphibians to move along.
