This Chichibu bottling is a special kind of whisky - it contains not only a vatted malt from the Chichibu distillery itself, but also a Scottish single malt.The maturation of this rare expression, takes place in red wine and Ovum casks. These are French oak casks made by the Taransaud team with the title of Meilleur Ouvriers de France.The title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France is only obtained by being highly qualified in the manufacture of T5 barrels or tanks, as well as in quality control, training and occupational safety.Under the leadership of Ichiro Akuto, founder of today's well-known Chichibu Distillery, this whisky is a true masterpiece and gives a deep insight into the Japanese way of producing whisky.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber with red reflections.Nose: Notes of wine aromas, sultanas, caramel, cinnamon, oak.Taste: Malt sugar, oak, vanilla, notes of cinnamon, pepper, cherries.Finish: Long lasting, peppery.
