Description The FlipFix 1 Hour Fire Rated Metal Access Panel with a Beaded Frame, designed for seamless integration into joint-less plasterboard wall and ceiling systems. The Beaded frame allows for tape and jointing/skim-coat plastering, ensuring a professional finish. Equipped with a Metal faced door and a FlipFix Patented Flush Lock as standard, alternative lock options are available upon request. Powder Coated RAL 9010 30% Gloss finish is standard, with custom colors available. Primarily intended for inspection purposes, this panel is not suitable for personnel access. It holds a 1 Hour Fire Rating for integrity up to 600x600mm in both ceiling and wall applications, tested in accordance with BS EN 1634-1: 2014. However, it lacks acoustic, air pressure, and smoke ratings. Manufactured from Zintec Steel with a 0.9mm thick door and frame, installation is simple. Ensure a structural opening 5mm larger than the panel size, insert the panel, and secure it with the FlipFix device. Verify frame squareness, lock the door, and ensure a flush alignment. Before applying the plaster skim coat, it's essential to apply joint filler and scrim tape to prevent cracking.
