Polypodium vulgare is an adaptable fern native to the UK and is commonly seen growing on stone walls. This resilient, hardy evergreen fern can grow with or without soil and can be tied onto moss and attached to tree trunks, tucked into rock crevices, or grown in deep, moist soils in a mixed border. Polypodium vulgare will cope well in full sun or partial shade, and needs good moisture to establish but will be drought tolerant once established. 30cm (12in). Spread: 60cm (24in).
