If you're creating a 'Jurassic Jungle' in your garden, then look no further than this giant tree fern! Cyathea cooperi is an attractive, quick-growing tree fern that will swiftly form a spectacular specimen. The fresh fronds emerge as large, densely coiled crosiers, smothered in silky hairs. They unfurl to reveal long fronds, held on sturdy, hairy stems, which form a striking crown of soft green, feather-like foliage. Cyathea cooperi isn't hardy so will need to be kept in frost-free conditions. Ideal for a container in a sheltered patio or courtyard where it can be easily moved to a frost-free position throughout the winter. Height and spread: 2.5?4 metres (8.2-13ft).
