Leucothoe is a low-maintenance evergreen shrub ideal for large patio pots or borders. The foliage of Leucothoe 'Curly Red' is attractive, with crimped and curled glossy foliage that turns a deep red in autumn. Plants are in high demand and should have a prominent place in your garden. Although Leucothoe appears exotic and difficult to grow, plants are hardy and ideal for shady borders with acid soil. Combination with other evergreen shrubs, particularly those with golden foliage, such as Euonymus.
