Physocarpus opulifolius 'Rubella' produces upright stems of deep maroon, lobed leaves. Clusters of cream-white blooms will flower from June to August which contrast beautifully with the dark foliage. Following the flowers, red berries emerge that ripen to black and are adored by birds. A compact shrub ideal for small garden borders and large containers where it forms a rounded, bushy plant.
